
Denmark's new government wants to double the organic agricultural area in the country, the export of organic and the Danes' consumption of organic. The decision is the result of a unique agreement between the Danish Social Democrats, the Radical Left, the Socialist People's Party and the Unity List.
"The agreement is a historic breakthrough for organic production and we now look forward to the upcoming cooperation and development of a new Danish policy that can realize the ambitious goals and maintain Denmark as the world's leading eco-country", says Paul Holmbeck, political director for Organic National Association.
