At the end of August, thousands of buyers and distributors gathered in Hong Kong at the Natural & Organic Product Asia (NOPA) trade fair.
The fair, which is in its fourth edition, has become an important international meeting place for players interested in the growing Asian market.
The organic market in Asia, like its counterpart in Europe, has grown rapidly as consumer demand for healthy food and lifestyle has increased. Earlier this year reported Natural Products Global that China is expected to be the largest importer of organic in 2018, and according to the US Organic Trade Association, the Asian market will grow by at least 10% annually until 2020.
KRAV and the international counterparts in Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, Greece, Italy and the United Kingdom participated in NOPA. In addition to certification bodies, there were also retailers, food companies and entrepreneurs who, during seminars and lectures, shared their insights on consumer trends and market developments.
