Eco-September is here again

For the sixth year in a row, the Eco-September campaign starts in Sweden! Eco-September is a recurring campaign for organic food and drink. It's 30 days focusing on the benefits of choosing organic and KRAV-marked. Behind Eco-September stands Organic Sweden, Ekologiska Lantbrukarna and KRAV.

During Eco-September arranges Organic Sweden and Ekologiska Lantbrukarna events across the country together with organic farmers, food companies, shops and local organisations. The campaign will also be spread in social media, on products and displayed in stores.

- We are proud that Eco-September has been established as the campaign month for eco and that we are bringing together so many players who jointly want to drive sales and spread knowledge about organic and KRAV-marked, says Charlotte Bladh André, CEO of Organic Sweden.

A great amount organic farmers will organize events to offer taste samples and talk about the benefits of choosing eco. Most activities take place in Värmland, the valleys, Skåne, Halland, Blekinge, Kronoberg and Gävleborg at shops that want to highlight the local organic food. In the activity calendar for Eco-September, you can follow when and where the activities take place: https://heltenkelteko.se/aktiviteter/

- This year we are organizing more local events than any year before! We have counted over 50 events such as "Eco farmer in store", "Lunch at the eco farmer", "Open eco farm", food markets and harvest festivals all over the country, says Sofia Emilsson, operations manager at Ekologiska Lantbrukarna.

Many food company will spread the campaign in its digital channels and bring promotional materials to create offers out in store. This year, Kung Markatta and Lantägg have become extra involved in the campaign and will be offering organic pancakes in stores around southern Sweden.

- During Eco-September, many of our members demonstrate how the organic food is produced and how it provides more biological diversity, a better climate, cleaner groundwater, more fertile topsoil, better animal welfare and fewer additives. The more people who campaign at the same time - the greater opportunity we have to reach customers and consumers across the country, says Charlotte Bladh André, CEO of Organic Sweden.
