Cajom Pepparrot

Cajom horseradish is still run within the family, now the 4th generation Carlssons in Fjärås who refines horseradish. Carlssons in Fjärås has sold horseradish since 1929.

We at Cajom still grow our own horseradish today, but most of it is bought in from some of the other local growers and imported from Hungary. The regrowth of horseradish growers in Fjärås is unfortunately sparse, but Cajom really wants to encourage others to start growing horseradish, so we help with our knowledge and premises for washing, preparation, processing and with refrigeration and freezer capacity. Horseradish from Fjärås is a cultural plant that we must nurture and preserve into the future!
