Tanzania is the world's eighth largest producer of cashews, but 90% of the country's all cashews are transported to Asia to be cracked and sorted there. The nuts in this bag have instead been cracked and then sorted by hand on site in Tanzania, which both means a reduction in transport and means that a larger part of the income stays with the local population.
