Bucket of wholemeal flour

Our organic bucket wholemeal flour is a mineral-rich and genuine stone-ground wholemeal flour with a lot of flavor. Feel free to use it for more nutritious bread and in cooking, for example for pie doughs. If you want to make pancakes, let the batter swell for a while. Buckets have a weight of gluten, so when baking bread it can be good to mix it with, for example, a wheat flour or bake the bread in a form. The product is Ä-marked.


What is Emmer?

Emmer originates from a cross between a single grain and a wild grass, and began to be cultivated about 8 years ago. Buckets are available in both a "white" spring-sown variety and a "black" autumn-sown. The kernels are embedded in a thick shell, which protects against e.g. air pollution. It must be peeled before it can be ground, as with grains and spelled. Emmer has a high nutritional content and its very own unique taste. The baking properties are similar to those of single grains. It is excellent for a bread with a lot of whole grains.
