The oil that was served at the Nobel Banquet 2019! A Swedish organic award-winning short story oil. Rapeseed oil flavored with spruce. It enhances the flavors of other typical, Nordic ingredients such as venison, smoked fish, tasty cheese, berries and mushrooms. Great for flavoring mayonnaise, pesto, pasta or in a marinade for feta cheese.
The spruce oil was awarded a silver medal in the class Innovative food crafts, at the Swedish Championships in Food Crafts 2013!
Origin: Högtorp farm, Mellösa, Sörmland. All spruce shoots are picked by hand on their own organically certified land. Rapeseed oil is Swedish, neutral KRAV-certi- celebrated. The product is produced in an EU-approved production kitchen under strictly hygienic forms. It guarantees clean, safe and first-class products that are not oxidized or spoiled prematurely.
Character: The spruce shoot oil has a clean and fresh taste and aroma of spruce and forest with hints of chlorophyll. The color is beautiful green. Should be used cold, or at the end of cooking to maintain the highest amount of flavor and that the essential oils should not evaporate.
