Whole rye

Whole rye is a whole grain product that retains all the ingredients of the grain. It is rich in dietary fiber and a source of magnesium, iron and zinc. If you have your own grain mill, you can grind your own wholemeal flour. Boiled whole rye can also be eaten as rice. Good to season with cumin, rosemary and bay leaves. When baking bread, 10% of the flour can be replaced by whole rye. It makes the bread extra tasty and juicy. Then cook the rye without salt.
