We are proud to offer the highest quality of our cocoa powder, which is made from cocoa beans from the remarkable Pangoa cooperative in the Satipo province of central Peru. During the difficult times of terrorism in the 1980s, when the cooperative was struggling to survive, it was the women who took the initiative and started growing cocoa to support their husbands and strengthen the cooperative. Today, it is still the women who play a central role in the production and sale of the cooperative's cocoa products.
