Cinnamon Cassia ECO 1kg

Cinnamon is one of our most common spices in Sweden and also one of our most popular. The cinnamon comes from the bark of the tree which is then ground into this powder.

However, there is a difference between cinnamon and cinnamon and this cassia cinnamon should be eaten with caution. Cinnamon contains a substance called coumarin, which unfortunately can damage our liver. In cassia cinnamon, it is found in a significantly higher dose than in Ceylon cinnamon.

We have still chosen to bring in this variety as we have received many comments that Ceylon cinnamon does not taste like cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon has a much more flowery taste and aroma than cassia cinnamon, which tastes like the traditional cinnamon we are used to here in Sweden.
