Genuine Ceylon cardamom with fantastic aroma
Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) is a tropical lily-like herb that can grow up to 4 meters tall, and which originates in Sri Lanka. It has beautiful white and pink colored flowers, and the brown cardamom seed itself is contained in a yellow pod.

Cardamom has been used for thousands of years in the areas where it originates, but came to Europe and Greece already 300 years before Christ. The Scandinavian countries and the Middle East today account for approximately half of world consumption. Today, cardamom, and several relatives of this with a similar taste, are cultivated in many tropical countries.
