Saltå Kvarns barley flour is a stone-ground wholemeal flour made from Swedish organic barley. In contrast to wheat and rye, the outer shell of the grain, the chaff, is stuck around the core and the grain therefore needs to be peeled before it is ground. Whole grain flour is rich in fiber and also rich in the B vitamins thiamine and niacin as well as phosphorus. From barley flour you can cook a fantastically good porridge and it is also good for baking crispy, good crispbread, flatbread and biscuits.
