Oregano ME ECO 125g
Oregano is a perennial shrub-like plant about 4 dm high and a close relative of marjoram, although with a stronger, more marked taste. It grows wild in most of Europe, Asia and America, also in Sweden. Shoots, leaves and buds are used as a spice, both fresh and dried.
Different countries have their own culinary preferences. For example, in Russia, with oregano, tea was always brewed and added to kvass, in Siberia – in a filling for pies, mixed with meat, eggs or cottage cheese. Europeans are sure to add a pinch of oregano to muesli dishes, and Italians add to pizza.
